Osteosarcoma
- Age distribution: second decade, second peak incidence in late adulthood, more common in males
- Location: ends of long bones, most common around the knee and shoulder
- Presentation: pain, swelling, soft tissue mass, most common primary malignant tumor of bone
- Treatment: chemotherapy followed by resection of involved bone, the large majority of patients undergo “limb-sparing” surgery

Chondrosarcoma
- Age distribution: adulthood, rare in children
- Location: pelvis 31%, femur 21%, 6% spine
- Presentation: pain, swelling, soft tissue mass
- Treatment: mainly surgical, chemotherapy and radiation therapy limited efficacy

Ewing's sarcoma
- Age distribution: 5-30 years old
- Presentation: pain and swelling, sometimes with systemic symptoms such as fever, fatigue, malaise
- Presentation: pain, swelling, soft tissue mass, most common primary malignant tumor of bone
- Treatment: mainly surgical, chemotherapy and radiation therapy limited efficacy
